1. Computer
- Mostly computer in market are suitable to use for the internet facilities.

2. Modem
- Short for modulator-demodulator
- A modem is a device or program that enables a computer to transmit data over, for example, telephone or cable lines.
- Computer information is stored digitally, where as information transmitted over telephone lines is transmitted in the form of analog waves. A modem converts between these two forms.
- Normally measured in bits per second(bit/s, or bps).

Differences between internal modem and external modem
Internal modem
a) Most personal computers have an internal modem installed inside the computer case.
b) Cheaper prices and does not require extra space in location.
c) Not may be removed.

External Modem
a) Portable devices that you can attach to a serial or USB port on your computer. External modems can be disconnected from your computer and used with other computers.
b) Expensive price and need extra space in location.
c) Portable

3. PCMIA
- This type modem occur in small card form and included in slot prepared primarily notebook.
- Advantage – light and portable
- Weakness – expensive


4. Telecommunicationsline
- Telephone line needed to enable process send and receive signal or information though telecommunications line.

5. Internet Account
- The user must register to thee internet account such as Tmnet, Celcom and Maxis.

6. Telecommunication software
- Used to explore and find the information such as Microsoft Internet Explorer and Firefox.
